SOCIOLOGY Teacher

A Good Secondary School based in Barking and Dagenham is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Sociology Teacher to start from September.

The School

This Community school located in the borough of Barking & Dagenham, are looking to recruit a Sociology Teacher to join their team in September. The school has the highest expectations and ambitions for every student. Through a large investment, the school has recently completed their rebuild and the facilities are fantastic.

This larger than average school are very supportive of their staff and are always trying to better their expertise. Having been graded Good in their last Ofsted, it was stated that "Leaders make sure that staff benefit from quality training to help them to contribute towards the school's priorities. From their monitoring, leaders identify the personal training and development needs of members of staff, which they then fulfil."

The school has great public transport links nearby with a railway station and tube station both only a 10 minute walk from the school.

Sociology Teacher

The subjects that form Social Science are very highly regarded, and in particular Sociology is a very popular choice at GCSE and A-Level. The successful candidate will be required to teach Sociology to KS4 and KS5, as well as RE. Both experienced and newly qualified Sociology Teachers are encouraged to apply for this role.

The role is to start in September and the school are looking for someone who is able to commit for the first half term in the first instance.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • PGCE in Sociology
  • Experience teaching Sociology to KS5
  • Experience of teaching RE to KS4
