GSL Education are seeking a dynamic and passionate Teacher of Engineering to join our well-established client schools in Greenwich. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong background in engineering, to inspire the next generation of innovators and engineers.

As a Teacher of Engineering, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality lessons across a range of engineering disciplines, from design and technology to practical applications. You will help students develop their critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons on engineering concepts, including design, manufacturing processes, and sustainability.
  • Develop students' practical engineering skills through hands-on activities and projects.
  • Inspire and motivate students to pursue careers and further education in engineering.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for exams and coursework.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment, encouraging student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the engineering curriculum and contribute to departmental growth.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a degree in Engineering or a related subject.
  • Previous experience in teaching engineering, ideally within a school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and an ability to make engineering concepts accessible to students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in practical activities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Enhanced DBS check on Update Service.
