Supply Role: Teacher of Science

Rate: £180 - £250
We have an urgent requirement for a Teacher of Science. In this dynamic role, you will teach students across Key Stages 3 & 4, with the possibility of extending to KS5. If you have a strong foundation in science and are excited about shaping the future of young learners, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging science lessons that cover a wide range of topics across various scientific disciplines.
- Use diverse teaching strategies to ensure deep understanding and active participation.
- Lead exciting laboratory experiments and practical demonstrations that bring science concepts to life.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by using effective classroom management techniques.
- Provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
What We’re Looking For:
- A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively within the Science department.
- Qualified teachers (including ECTs and experienced QTS professionals)
- Proven experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is a plus).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts in an engaging and accessible way.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- A registered teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS/QTLS) for secondary education.
- Enhanced DBS disclosure (subject to checks).
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
