We are seeking an exceptional Teacher of Sociology who is passionate about delivering outstanding teaching and learning to young people aged 16-19.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment in Sociology to students aged 16-19.
- Stretch and challenge students to reach their full potential, ensuring they feel confident about their future careers and life outside of sixth form.
- Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity and a love of learning.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the Sociology department.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification in Sociology or a related subject.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning at the sixth form level.
- Strong understanding of the Sociology curriculum and the latest educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
