About the role

Mainstream primary school in Hackney are looking for a teaching assistant to work from Reception - Year 2 supporting where needed.

Your roles will include-

-Supporting pupils with SEN when and where needed

-Carrying out phonics interventions working both 1-2-1 and in small groups, therefore RWI Phonics experience is essential

-Supporting the class teacher throughout the day

-Assisting with school trips, preparing lessons and supporting with behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Prior experience working with children
  • Experience with RWI phonics
  • Experience working with SEN
Key responsibilities

As Teaching Assistant- January Start you will be responsible for:

  • Provide support to the teacher and assist pupils with their learning
  • Support pupils with SEN
  • Carry out 1-2-1 interventions
