Teaching Assistant- January Start

Teaching assistant needed to work across EYFS - KS1

Full time - January - July 2025

08:30 - 16:00

PAYE only, we do not use umbrella companies

Mainstream primary school in Hackney are looking for a teaching assistant to work from Reception - Year 2 supporting where needed.

Your roles will include-

-Supporting pupils with SEN when and where needed

-Carrying out phonics interventions working both 1-2-1 and in small groups, therefore RWI Phonics experience is essential

-Supporting the class teacher throughout the day

-Assisting with school trips, preparing lessons and supporting with behaviour management

Mainstream primary school in Hackney.

-Have strong time management

-Be able to work off their own initiative

-Have a strong passion for supporting children in an education setting

-Be confident in their ability to work with children including children with SEN and/or challenging behavior

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant- January Start you will:

• Have a DBS on the updated service or be willing to apply for one
• Have experience with RWI Phonics

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Prior experience working with children
• Experience with RWI phonics
• Experience working with SEN

As Teaching Assistant- January Start you will be responsible for:

• Provide support to the teacher and assist pupils with their learning
• Support pupils with SEN
• Carry out 1-2-1 interventions
