Are you a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in Westminster?

The school seeks an experienced Teaching Assistant to join its dynamic team in September. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who has a background in working with children facing behavioural and concentration difficulties, as well as those experiencing challenges at home or with mental health issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with behavioural and concentration difficulties, assisting them in overcoming challenges and reaching their full potential.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies in collaboration with classroom teachers to create a conducive learning environment.
  • Offer empathetic support to students facing difficulties at home or dealing with mental health issues, helping them navigate through their challenges.
  • Collaborate with school counsellors, psychologists, and other support staff to develop and implement individualised plans to meet the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children with behavioural and concentration difficulties in an educational or care setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to support students facing challenges at home or with mental health issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of students facing adversity.
