We are working in partnership with a vibrant and welcoming primary school in the heart of Southwark who are seeking a floating Teaching Assistant who has experience working across Key Stage 1. This is a dynamic Teaching Assistant role, where you get to move across the classrooms to support with small group interventions and 1:1 support where needed.

Teaching Assistant Overview:
As a Floating Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support across various classrooms, working closely with students who have special needs. Your role will involve adapting to different learning environments and ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special needs in multiple classrooms, ensuring they are fully engaged in their learning.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities that meet the diverse needs of students.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages all students to achieve their potential.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and the SENCo to implement and monitor individual support plans.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to promote a cohesive approach to student support.
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant, specifically with special needs students.
- A compassionate and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in various classroom settings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
