Teaching Assistant

Tempest Education are looking for an enthusiastic SEN teaching assistants to work at one of our partner schools in Camberwell. The Ofsted rated "Good" 2 form entry school is looking for a dedicated and committed teaching assistant to join their lovely primary school in November 2024.

The role will be a full-time role, working with children with challenging behaviour and SEN in KS1. Your daily hours will be 8:30 am - 4:00pm.

Your main responsibilities will be working 1:1, 2:1 and in small groups with children who have diverse needs as well as reporting to the SLT on pupils' progress throughout the academic year. You must have a strong passion to work with SEN students as this role has a strong focus on attending to SEN pupils' personal, social and educational needs. The school have a big focus on making sure pupils and staff can learn together!

You will be providing support to the class teacher and ensuring that pupils are in safe environments by doing regular risk assessments, whilst following the schools' policies and procedures.
