A welcoming and dynamic school in Putney is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team starting in January 2025. This is a part-time position for an experienced and compassionate individual passionate about working with children who need additional support.
Job Overview:
The successful candidate will work primarily in Key Stage 2, assisting students with various learning needs. They will collaborate with class teachers and the wider support team to help students achieve their potential within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class and one-to-one support for students with learning needs.
- Implement individual learning plans and assist with tailored activities.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages confidence and growth.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working in a learning support or teaching assistant role.
- Understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and experience supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a cohesive support team.
