Teaching Assistant
SEN: 1 to 1 Role
Independent School in Knightsbride, Kensington
Full Time/ 8am to 4pm/ Term-time only
Veritas are working with an independent school who are looking for a 1:1 teaching assistant situated in the Royal borough of Kensington. The school are very motivated through their high values expanded across school. They require an individual who is willing to take on their educational values and apply them whilst supporting the needs of pupils. This position is a long term role, with the opportunity to turn into a permanen role.
Pupils of this school have high academic targets to which you will have to encourage and support accordingly alongside the teachers and the SENCo (special educational needs coordinator).
You should be confident to provide support to a student who has Autism and traits of ADHD which intertwines with challenging behaviour. It is crucial to be willing to build a relationship and follow daily learning routines. You will be provided support and guidance by the SENCO and other members of the senior leadershitp team.
Key skills and requirements
- Degree is preferred in core subjects or similar.
- Experience with secondary aged children
- Undrstanding and experience with SEN needs.
- High levels of professionalism.
- Driver with license is preferred
- Subject to an Enhanced DBS Check
