Do you want to work in a fun, friendly and warm mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Wandsworth. Do you want to make a different in childrens lives by providing them with support, care and academic development. In that case, Ortus recruitment are looking for an individual that is athletic, kind, bubbly and empathetic who is ready to make a different in childrens lives and advance in their career in the education sector.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons
- Engage in 1:1 and group session with children
- Help children with their homework or class tasks
- Set up and clean the classroom throughout the day
- Support children with their physical, mental, emotional and social health
- Communicate with other teachers, parents and all the children
- Carry out administrative tasks like preparing resources for the teacher and help with filing and printing etc.
- Help when necessary, with after school clubs and activities
- Support SEN children in groups or 1:1 as well
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred (3-6 months)
- Experience working with SEN children (preferred)
- Passion for working with students with diverse needs
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to difficult situations and behaviours.
