Teaching Assistant | Primary School | Wandsworth, London (SW15) | January 2025 Start | Long-term to Permanent | 95 - 105 per day


Long Term Futures is collaborating with a welcoming primary school in Wandsworth and we are seeking a Teaching Assistant. This role focuses on supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through tailored interventions, small group work and general classroom support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver general classroom support, and targeted SEN support through small group sessions and one-to-one interventions
  • Work alongside the SENCo and class teacher to design and implement individualised education plans
  • Assist in creating tailored study areas to provide focused learning environments for students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that supports all learners
  • Adapt learning materials and teaching strategies to meet the needs of children.
  • Monitor student progress, providing feedback to staff and parents

The perfect candidate for this role will have:

  • Previous experience working with SEN children in a school or similar setting
  • A calm, patient, and flexible approach to supporting young learners
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the SENCo, teachers, and support staff
  • A Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent is highly desirable
  • A commitment to creating positive learning experiences for children with SEN
