Are you passionate about Autism? Become a Teaching Assistant in a DSP in Greenwich!
We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful team in a Designated Special Provision (DSP) within a secondary school in Greenwich. If you're passionate about working with children with autism and are eager to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you!
Here's what we're looking for:
- A graduate in Psychology or English (this is preferred, but not essential)
- Someone who is bright-eyed, eager to learn, and ready to take on challenges with a positive attitude
- Experience working with autism - if you've worked with neurodivergent students before, that's a huge plus, but we'll also consider applicants with a strong passion to learn!
- It would be great if you have some musical talent (singing, playing an instrument, etc.) - music is a powerful way to connect with the students and bring extra joy to the classroom!
- Comfortable working in small groups and supporting lessons in mainstream classrooms - the role offers variety and is never boring!
Here's the practical side of things:
- Start Date: January (We're holding trial sessions THIS week, so if you're keen to get started, this is your chance!)
- Hours: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (Full-time, so you'll get into a great routine!)
- Contract: Full term, lasting until the end of the academic year (this gives you time to really settle in and make a meaningful impact)
- Location: Greenwich, with a supportive team and lots of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- Pay: depending on experience.
If you're someone who's caring, dedicated, and passionate about helping students thrive in a nurturing environment, this role could be perfect for you. You'll be making a real difference every day, both in small group settings and within mainstream classrooms.
