About the role - Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 child with SEN (ASD), working in line with their EHCP.
  • Help the pupil engage with learning, building confidence and social skills.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to tailor support.
  • Monitor progress and adapt strategies to meet the child's individual needs.
  • Be a key part of the school's commitment to inclusive education.

Requirements for the Teaching Assistant role:

  • Experience working with children, ideally with SEN or ASD.
  • A patient, understanding, and compassionate approach to teaching support.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with staff, parents, and the pupil.

  • Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
