Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting children with Autism? A primary school in Haringey is seeking a confident and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with Autism. This rewarding role is available to start ASAP and requires someone with excellent behaviour management skills to support a child who can occasionally be disruptive.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
- As a teaching assistant, provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with Autism, helping them navigate daily learning activities.
- As a teaching assistant, manage challenging behaviours effectively, using proactive and positive behaviour strategies.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to implement tailored learning plans.
- Foster a calm and supportive environment to encourage the child's engagement and development.
- Build a trusting relationship with the pupil, promoting their confidence and independence.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly supporting children with Autism or additional needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to process one through Reeson Education.
