Long Term Futures are thrilled to partner with a welcoming primary school in Camden, NW1, to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a dual role in Reception and Year 1. Starting in January, this position offers an opportunity to provide vital support to pupils with SEN and assist in creating an engaging learning environment.

Your Role:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs, fostering confidence and learning.
  • Support small groups in Reception and Year 1 with engaging and inclusive learning activities.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning, delivering, and adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Use visual aids, sensory resources, and positive strategies to enhance pupil engagement.
  • Help children stay focused, regulate emotions, and feel supported in their learning journey.

About You:

  • Experience working with children in Early Years or KS1, ideally supporting SEN.
  • Confident using visual timetables, reward systems, and sensory tools.
  • A patient, calm, and compassionate approach to supporting young learners.
  • Willing to assist with personal care when needed.
  • Relevant qualifications or a degree in education are desirable but not essential.
