SEN Teaching Assistant | Haringey, N11 | 90 - 105 per day | Long-Term to Perm Role | February Start

Long Term Futures are working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Haringey, N11, to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. Starting after the half-term break, this role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with children in Year 5 and Year 6 who require additional support due to special educational needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work 1:1 with pupils with SEN, providing tailored support to meet individual needs
  • Assist with small group interventions to support learning and development
  • Help pupils with emotional regulation, social skills, and managing behaviour
  • Support the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Utilise visual resources, such as timetables and reward charts, to promote understanding and engagement
  • Help pupils stay focused on tasks and build their confidence and independence
  • Communicate effectively with staff and parents regarding pupil progress

  • Have experience working with children with SEN, particularly in KS2
  • Be confident using visual resources and strategies to support learning

  • Be comfortable supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
