Smart Teachers are recruiting for a passionate Teaching Assistant who has knowledge of phonics and pre-verbal communication to join a Primary School in Fulham.
About the role- Role will be working as a Teaching Assistant in a reception class
- You will be supporting a child with Autism on a 1:1 basis
- Child is engaged in lessons but needs support developing speech and language skills
- Role will start ASAP in March and will be until the end of the academic year with the potential to continue in September
- The role is full time, Monday-Friday (08:30-16:00)
- 2 form entry Primary School in Fulham
- The school caters for a diverse cohort of pupils who stem from a number of different backgrounds
- Supportive SENCO who will support you in your role
- The school are working with speech and language therapist who will also help with the needs of the child
- Located closely to excellent transport links
To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:
- Have experience teaching phonics
- Have an understanding of pre-verbal communication
- Have an enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Prior experience supporting children with SEN
