A Primary School in Haringey is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with challenging behaviour. The pupil can sometimes display physical behaviour, so this role requires a confident and calm individual who can manage these challenges effectively.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Role Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with behavioural needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support the pupil's engagement and learning.
- Assist the class teacher in creating a structured and positive learning environment.
- Work closely with the SENCO, parents, and other staff to ensure the pupil's well-being.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant working with pupils with challenging behaviour.
- Confidence in managing behaviour in a calm and supportive manner.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one through Reeson Education.
