Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support students in their academic, social, and emotional development. You will help to create a safe and engaging environment, providing one-to-one or small group support to children who may need additional help to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
- Assist with the implementation of learning activities and ensure that children are actively engaged.
- Provide individual or small group support to children as required.
- Assist in monitoring and recording student progress.
- Help with classroom management to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
- Support the welfare and emotional needs of students, promoting a positive attitude towards learning.
- Collaborate with the teaching team and other school staff to enhance the overall school experience for all students.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of working with children in a primary school setting is desirable but not essential.
- A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
- A good understanding of safeguarding procedures.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is an advantage but not essential.
