The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2, helping them to develop their confidence, learning skills, and engagement in the classroom. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring teacher to gain first-hand experience before embarking on a SCITT teacher training programme in September.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting class teachers with planning and lesson delivery

  • Providing one-on-one or small group interventions to boost learning

  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment

  • Assisting with assessments and tracking student progress

  • Encouraging student engagement and fostering a love for learning



What We Are Looking For:

  • A passion for education and a desire to become a teacher

  • Experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, teaching assistant roles, youth work)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning support
