Graduate Teaching Assistant

Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: London
Salary: Up to 110 per day (depending on degree and experience)
Hours: Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Contract Type: Long-Term, Full-Time
Start Date: Ongoing / September

About the Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the classroom, supporting both students and teachers. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience before committing to a PGCE or other teacher training program.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

  • Adapt learning materials to suit individual learning needs

  • Promote positive behaviour and support students' emotional and social development

  • Be a proactive and inspiring role model within the school community



Requirements:

  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree (2:2 or above preferred)

  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting (desirable)

  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to learning support

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
