Position: Teaching Assistant (Reception & Year 1 Support)

Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: 90 - 110 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you a proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for early years education? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Reception and Year 1. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the early development of children in a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

• Provide in-class support in both Reception and Year 1
• Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities
• Help manage classroom routines and transitions
• Support individual and group learning, ensuring inclusion for all pupils
• Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction
• Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to support pupil progress

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
• Confidence supporting Early Years and KS1 students
• A calm, caring, and patient approach to working with young children
• Ability to adapt to the needs of individual learners
• A positive attitude and willingness to be a hands-on member of the team
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
