Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for working in secondary education? We're seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to support a diverse and inclusive secondary school in Waltham Forest, known for its commitment to creating an engaging and supportive environment for both students and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide personalised support for students, working both 1:1 and in small groups, helping them to overcome challenges and stay engaged in their learning
  • Assist in the development and implementation of learning plans for students with SEN and additional needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a positive and effective learning environment, helping students achieve academic and personal goals
  • Offer support for students facing social or behavioural challenges, fostering confidence, independence, and motivation
  • Monitor and document student progress, contributing to review meetings and adjustments in support strategies
  • Actively participate in school life, from assisting with extra-curricular activities to supporting school events and initiatives
