Academics are currently working with this fantastic 2 form entry Primary school based in the Richmond to recruit a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with your people with Autism. The role will see you working on a 121 basis with a child in Reception who needs support accessing the curriculum. You will work with the child in the classroom and also take part in their sessions with their speech and language therapist and visiting specialists that are involved in the child's educational health plan.

This teaching assistant role would suit a person with excellent communication skills and a patient, calm and positive approach to working with children. The child has a brilliant personality and lots of energy so you will need to be ready to work and play alongside them so they can get the best out of the school day. The parents are extremely supportive of the school and staff and work cohesively with the team. This role will see you working in class and outside the class room and you will have full training to bring the child educational health plan to life.

This position would suit a Level 2 or 3 qualified teaching assistant with experience working with SEN children or a graduate with experience paid or voluntary working with SEN children who is looking to develop a career in education or as an educational psychologist or therapist.
