SEN Teaching Assistant | Haringey, N11 | 90 - 105 per day | Long-Term to Perm Role | February Start
Long Term Futures are working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Haringey, N11, to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. Starting after the half-term break, this role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with children in Year 5 and Year 6 who require additional support due to special educational needs.

Key responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with pupils with SEN, providing tailored support to meet individual needs
- Assist with small group interventions to support learning and development
- Help pupils with emotional regulation, social skills, and managing behaviour
- Support the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Utilise visual resources, such as timetables and reward charts, to promote understanding and engagement
- Help pupils stay focused on tasks and build their confidence and independence
- Communicate effectively with staff and parents regarding pupil progress
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children with SEN, particularly in KS2
- Be confident using visual resources and strategies to support learning
- Display resilience, patience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Be comfortable supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
- Have a passion for education and a commitment to making a difference
