Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a mainstream Primary School in Hammersmith. The role involves providing 1:1 support for a child in Key Stage 1, with a focus on Makaton communication. Experience in Makaton essential.

• Provide 1:1 support to a child in Key Stage 1
• Use Makaton to support communication and learning
• Work closely with the class teacher to adapt lessons
• Assist with behavioural and emotional support as needed
• Roll will be full time, 08:30-16:00 until the end of the academic year

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:

• Have Makaton experience

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Have experience working in Primary Schools
• Have an understanding of pre-verbal communication
