GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join one of our esteemed Primary schools in Newham.
If you’re experienced in working with children, both individually and in small groups, and are ready to start immediately, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Do as a Teaching Assistant in Newham:- Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with classroom teachers to inspire and encourage students to achieve their full potential.
- Support Learning: Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they get the help they need to succeed.
- Engage and Inspire: Help students build their confidence and self-esteem through attentive listening and personalized learning strategies.

- Experienced: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is essential.

- Team Player: Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a supportive team.
- Great Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Empathetic Listener: A caring approach to boosting pupils’ confidence and self-esteem through active listening and tailored interventions.
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential for this role. Successful candidates must pass all necessary background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
