SANZA Teaching Agency are working with a leading Primary School in West London who are looking for two teaching assistants to work in their onsite special needs (SEN) provision.

The role would be working with children who have Autism (ASD). This role would also suit a mainstream Primary Teaching Assistant who has a keen interest in transitioning over to Special Educational Needs.

About the role:

  • As a teaching assistant working with special needs (SEN), you will:
  • Support the learning and development of children with Autism (ASD)
  • Support the social development of children with Autism (ASD)
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to assess and implement the students' Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP)

About you:

The school is seeking a strong, confident and caring special needs (SEN) teaching assistant who has a keen interest in making a difference to lives of young people. You must:

  • Be willing to work with challenging behaviour
  • Being flexible and willing to take on all challenges
  • Be able to enforce boundaries and be a good role model
  • Have experience supporting children with special needs (SEN), ideally Autism (ASD)
