The Role
As a Senior Project Manager / Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering state-of-the-art data centre projects that underpin the digital economy. From feasibility to handover, you’ll lead complex, high-value developments, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. You will be instrumental in setting project strategies, managing teams, and ensuring seamless execution across all stages of delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the successful delivery of large-scale, ground-up data centre projects from inception to completion.
- Provide strategic advice at the earliest project stages, shaping project direction and outcomes.
- Lead feasibility assessments, risk analysis, and procurement strategy development.
- Establish clear project objectives, balancing time, cost, and performance factors.
- Implement best-in-class governance structures, processes, and reporting systems.
- Oversee detailed project planning and ensure alignment with key stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
- Monitor project performance using KPIs and proactively manage change control.
- Ensure seamless communication between clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Take ownership of financial oversight, ensuring budgets and forecasts are effectively managed.
- Champion quality, safety, and sustainability throughout all project phases.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in project management within the construction consultancy sector.
- A strong track record of successfully delivering data centre projects across Europe.
- Expertise in feasibility studies, procurement strategies, and risk management.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and inspire teams.
- In-depth knowledge of UK industry regulations, technical standards, and best practices.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, APM, PMP, or equivalent).
- Ability to navigate complex projects and drive efficiency at all stages.
