Are you looking to build a career in block management? As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the property management team while also managing a small portfolio under the guidance of a Senior Property Manager. This role is perfect for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and eager to develop their expertise in residential property management.
Key ResponsibilitiesProperty Inspections & Maintenance- Oversee the day-to-day management of your portfolio in line with RICS Residential Code and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections, document findings, and report issues to the Property Manager.
- Liaise with contractors to arrange maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
- Manage reactive maintenance requests, ensuring jobs are logged correctly before instructing contractors.
- Track and update compliance records, including risk assessments, asbestos reports, and health & safety checks.
- Organise and attend resident meetings, AGMs, and client updates.
- Maintain regular communication with residents, providing clear updates on works, projects, and queries.
- Coordinate monthly/quarterly newsletters, ensuring timely distribution with valuable content.
- Ensure all emails and calls are responded to within 24 hours.
- Keep accurate records of meetings, reports, and contracts using internal systems.
- Assist with service charge collection and arrears management.
- Support budget management, ensuring expenses remain within approved limits.
- Work with the Property Manager and Accounts Team to prepare realistic budgets and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, lease terms, and industry regulations.

- Training & Qualifications: Access to an in-house training academy, with support to gain ATPI qualifications.
- Travel Expenses: Paid travel for site visits.
- Exposure & Experience: Hands-on role with the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in property management.
- Prior experience in property management or administration (desirable but not essential).
- An interest in pursuing professional qualifications such as ATPI.
- Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & property management software (training provided if needed).
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workloads, and work under pressure.
