Our client is looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Homeless Reviews Officer with a solid understanding of Parts 6 and 7 of the Housing Act 1996. The Officer will conduct interviews with individuals applying for homelessness assistance, making well-founded decisions based on comprehensive assessments. They will receive support from the Team Manager, who understands the demands of the role.

The team seeks a skilled candidate who can contribute effectively alongside experienced colleagues, meet targets, and ensure that all reviews align with the appropriate Housing legislation. The Officer should be able to hit the ground running, confidently managing workloads. The role offers a supportive and comfortable working environment.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Direct experience interviewing homeless applicants under Parts 6 and 7 of the Housing Act 1996.
  • Practical knowledge of conducting reviews in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with external parties as required.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 and relevant case law to support informed decision-making.
  • Reviewing decisions made under Parts 6 and 7 of the Housing Act 1996.
  • Offering advice and guidance on improving Section 184 decision letters.
  • Making well-reasoned, impartial decisions based on thorough analysis.
