City based Stockbrokers are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic HR & Finance Assistant to join their team.

The position demands excellent prioritisation and multitasking skills.

They are seeking someone who is always happy to help, willing to go the extra mile, and can always work collaboratively and positively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support monthly payroll process
  • Assist with onboarding & offboarding of new employees
  • Assist with and screening of candidates
  • Organising company events (booking travel and hotels)
  • Assisting with monthly expense claims, including company credit cards
  • Manage daily financial transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial procedures
  • Book and monitor training for employees
  • Assist the Head of HR with any ad-hoc administration duties as required on an ongoing basis
  • Cover reception on busy days for one hour
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required and across divisions as required

THE PERSON

  • High levels of energy and enthusiasm
  • Proven experience as an administrator ideally in a similar role
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
