As Assistant General Manager – HR, you will be responsible for delivering HR services across all Agri Business Units, based in various locations but managed from the TORQ UK office. You will implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives across all areas of the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
- This is a HR business partner (HRBP) role to provide HR services to all the Agri Business Units, at various locations, being controlled from the TORQ UK, London Office.
- The incumbent shall be responsible for the implementation the HR policies, procedures and initiatives under various HR functions at every stage of the employee life cycle.
- Establishing a credible employer brand in the geographies which are the talent sources for TORQ’s business operations. This includes the establishing, maintaining and growing of TORQ presence through various platforms such as campus activities, job fairs, social media presence etc.
- Preparing the HR budget in alignment with the business plan and ensuring high quality, on-time and cost-effective hiring in line with the laid down process/ SOP.
- The incumbent is expected to attain a comprehensive understanding of the businesses in terms of the drivers of success, particularly those dependent on people contributions and to proactively design, propose and execute initiatives for talent development (L&D), talent acquisition and mitigating people risks.
- To work closely with the central HR team, business leaders and employees to implement the Performance Management system (PMS).
- To design and implement effective and consistent employee engagement initiatives with measurable outcomes/ Return on Investment.
- Compliance with applicable employment laws and timely redressal of employee grievances.

The Person
- Should be a passionate “People practitioner” having worked in a similar role in a growing medium sized organisation with a reasonable degree of business complexity, operating in multiple locations with an established HR system encompassing the various HR functions mentioned above.
- Knowledge of contemporary compensation trends/practices.
- Post Graduate qualifications in Human Resource or MBA in HR from a reputed University/ Institute
- Demonstrated success in Talent Acquisition in terms of volume, diversity of skill sets and work locations. Should have the acumen to rapidly assimilate the business model and its key drivers.
- Well versed in the use of Digital HR tools in hiring, performance management, engagement etc.
- Analytical skills with an ability to draw meaningful insights from data.
- Besides proficiency on the professional side, should have a strong and persuasive communication style and ability to effectively represent the function/ Company while interacting with internal/ external stakeholders
- As a member of the HR Team, should demonstrate high energy, ownership and a decisive decision-making style with a keen analytical mindset
- Should be confident and presentable with good interpersonal skills to handle demanding stakeholders and manage conflict situations.
