Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor student attendance, maintain accurate records, and track patterns of absence and lateness.
  • Develop and enforce school attendance policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with students, parents, and guardians to address attendance issues and provide support to improve attendance.
  • Analyse attendance data, identify trends, and prepare reports for senior leadership and local authorities.
  • Work with staff to implement strategies that improve attendance and address barriers to regular school attendance.

Key Requirements:

  • Manage and maintain accurate attendance records, track trends, and multitask efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and external agencies to address attendance issues.
  • Monitor attendance data, identify patterns, and ensure compliance with school policies.
  • Identify barriers to attendance and collaborate to develop and implement solutions.
  • Understand relevant laws and regulations regarding attendance, safeguarding, and reporting requirements.
