Our client, a leading voluntary sector organisation now has a fantastic opportunity for an innovative, people focused and values-driven Director of People to join their Senior Leadership Team on a permanent basis.

Please note; this role offers hybrid working with at least 50% of your time working from the London office or visiting locations nationally.

As Director of People you'll be joining a growing organisation with ambitious goals and a clear and compassionate mission. You will make a tangible contribution to shaping the workplace culture for a dispersed, multi-site workforce and delivering the organisation's strategic business plan, through the leadership and of the organisation's People and Learning and Development strategy and objectives.

As a proven strategic business partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders, you will have the professional business acumen and leadership skills to lead and inspire the People and Volunteering team to build efficient, cost-effective and impactful People processes, systems and structures. You will also be a role model and ambassador for the organisation's ethos and values and lead initiatives that foster a sense of engagement and community and help build a culture of trust, collaboration and inclusion.

To be considered you will need to be MCIPD qualified (or have evidence of working at this level) with proven senior HR and workforce development experience and an excellent working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice and of learning and development delivery. Ideally with a background in a similar setting that includes managing volunteering, you will also have experience of driving change, employee engagement and people development and leading systems and business process improvement.
