The Greater London Authority are looking to recruit an Employee Relations Policy Adviser on a 3-month interim basis.

This role involves critical tasks such as rewriting shared parental leave policies, reviewing secondments, and aligning various employment-related policies. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and experience with MS Office, particularly Excel.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Review the shared parental leave policy, ensuring alignment with current tools and forms.
  • Conduct a comprehensive review of secondment processes.
  • Collaborate on the PIP template adjustments based on feedback.
  • Align appeal timings across all ER policies.
  • Support the Recruitment team with the neurodiversity refresh of policies and approaches.
  • Manage cyclical policy reviews, support ad hoc policy maintenance, and provide operational support to the Job Families project and legislative compliance efforts.
  • Handle administrative tasks proficiently with MS Office tools.
  • Assist with the delivery of policy and project-related work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in HR policy advisory or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team and collaborate with other HR teams.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and policy reviews.
