My client, a growing logistics group, is seeking to hire an experienced and strategic HR Director to lead their Human Resources function.

As the HR Director, you will play a critical role in developing and executing HR strategies that align with our business goals, foster a high-performance culture, and enhance employee engagement across the organization. You will be a key member of the leadership team, providing counsel on people and culture while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated a strong progression in their HR career, showcasing leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and a track record of driving successful HR initiatives in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Experience in e-commerce, tech, logistics or related industries is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives. Provide leadership on HR matters to senior management and contribute to decision-making at the executive level.
  • Talent Management: Oversee end-to-end talent management processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent development, and succession planning. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives to build a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Implement engagement strategies that promote employee satisfaction, retention, and a strong sense of belonging.
  • HR Operations: Ensure the smooth operation of all HR functions, including payroll, benefits, compliance, and HRIS systems. Continuously optimize processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Organizational Development: Partner with leadership to assess and improve organizational design, culture, and employee engagement. Lead change management initiatives to support business growth and innovation.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI): Lead the company’s DEI strategy and initiatives, ensuring the creation of a diverse workforce and an inclusive work environment.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations. Manage employee relations and maintain a robust risk management framework.
  • HR Metrics & Reporting: Use data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Present key HR metrics and reports to leadership to drive informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Proven HR Leadership Experience: 10+ years of HR experience with strong progression in roles of increasing responsibility, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working in e-commerce, technology, or fast-paced growth environments is preferred. Demonstrated understanding of the unique HR challenges within these sectors.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to translate business goals into HR strategies, with a strong sense of business acumen and a focus on results.
  • Talent Champion: Proven success in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. A track record of building high-performing teams and driving talent development programs.
  • Change Management: Experience leading large-scale change initiatives, including organizational restructuring, culture change, and process improvement.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in HR metrics and data analysis to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
