Alexander Lloyd are partnering exclusively with The Teenage Cancer Trust to find an Associate Director of People & Culture (HR Director) who can provide strategic direction and leadership for the People and Culture Team. As a member of the wider organisational leadership team you will create a dynamic, empowering, inclusive culture. This role requires:
- Someone passionate about all areas of work within the people and culture function, including HR, Culture, Facilities, EDI, L&D and Leadership Development, Volunteering and supporter experience
- Someone who enjoys leading the advocacy and promotion of people and culture activity at all levels, including directly influencing Senior leaders to incorporate people and culture-led decision making at an Executive Director and Board level
- Drive high performance, high engagement culture for all staff and volunteers. Be responsible for the employee and volunteer lifecycle from induction to exit, enabling people to understand the organisation, deliver our strategy, live our values and continually learn and improve what we do.
- Take a lead in key cross-cutting priority projects, particularly those focused on culture and organisational change.
- Support the Head of HR and Head of Volunteering to role model to the organisation the culture we want - and to create, bring together and continually improve ways of working in the People & Culture team.
- Support and coach Senior leaders in the organisation with complex management advice on topics such as pay and reward, EDI and employee relations issues.
- Support the organisation to continually develop and improve ways of working, shaping and changing how we work based on data, external trends and internal insight.
- Ensure the organisation has a clear and consistent approach to leadership and talent development including continually improving leadership cultures.
- Ensure that all people and culture team activity is clearly aligned to and delivering organisation strategy, developing data driven operational plans and budgets in line with this.
