Are you an experienced HR Manager with a passion for education? Are you ready to bring your expertise to a dynamic secondary school environment in Hackney, London? LTF Recruitment is seeking an organised and motivated HR Manager to join a busy school team and support both staff and students.

This role requires an immediate start, so we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and effectively manage the school's HR functions, including recruitment, staff welfare, compliance, and overall HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full employee life cycle, from recruitment to onboarding, employee relations, and performance management
  • Ensure the school is compliant with HR policies, safeguarding procedures, and relevant employment legislation
  • Work closely with senior leadership to support staff welfare, handle employee queries, and resolve any HR-related issues
  • Manage staff contracts, attendance, and leave records, ensuring accurate data is maintained
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including advertising roles, shortlisting candidates, and organising interviews
  • Provide guidance and advice to staff on HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure all safeguarding checks and DBS requirements are completed in line with school policy
  • Support staff training and professional development by managing HR initiatives

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager, ideally in an education or school setting
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and employment legislation
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff
  • Experience in managing recruitment, safeguarding, and compliance within an educational environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced school environment
