HR Manager

Our client within the retail sector are seeking an HR Manager to oversee and implement the human resources functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, conducting interviews, contract management, and general HR responsibilities.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the HR department, setting high performance standards and establishing strategic HR efforts that align with business goals.
- Manage the recruitment process from start to finish, including creating job descriptions, posting job adverts, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and negotiating contracts.
- Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth and welcoming introduction for new employees into the company culture.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with current laws and regulations.
- Provide support and guidance to management and staff on HR-related matters.
- Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance appraisals.
- Maintain employee records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Analyse trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organisation attracts and retains top talent.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organisation’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or a role of a similar level.
- Strong understanding of the full recruitment process and HR best practices.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Experience with HR software and tools, including HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
- CIPD qualification or relevant HR degree is preferred.
- Ability to work strategically and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
