We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role is crucial in promoting corporate values and fostering a positive working environment in our not-for-profit sector.

Description

HR Manager Key Responsibilities:

路 Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

路 Design, revise, and enforce company policies to ensure compliance with employment law and best practice.

路 Manage the HR system to ensure data integrity, ensuring employee records and maintained accurately and in compliance with GDPR.

路 Monitor and analyse HR metrics to improve organisational effectiveness.

路 Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.

路 Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing and selection.

路 Manage the employee onboarding experience, including reference checking, DBS checks and pre-employment health questionnaires.

路 Administration of contracts and employee changes to terms and conditions of employment documentation.

路 Implement and oversee talent retention strategies, performance management systems, and succession planning.

路 Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, grievances, and conflict resolution.

路 Coach and advise line managers on people issues within their teams from probation to sickness absence to performance.

路 Foster a culture of open communication and continuous feedback.

路 Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives, including team-building activities and recognition programs.

路 Assess training needs and design programs to enhance employee skills and career development.

路 Identify training needs and source training solutions, monitoring their effectiveness.

路 Work with Finance to contribute to payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate compensation.

路 Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

路 Conduct periodic benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation practices.

路 Ensure compliance with employment law, workplace safety regulations, and ethical standards.

Profile

A successful HR Manager should have:

  • Proven working experience in HR Manager position, charity experience preferable
  • Certification in HR (eg CIPD)
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
