We have a superb opportunity for an HR professional to join a dynamic and growing Lloyd’s market broker on a part time basis 3 days a week.

They are seeking a proactive HR professional to centralise and develop their HR function from scratch, supporting business growth and regulatory compliance. Hr is currently handled by various Directors and Senior Managers and they want you to come on board to take this over.

The business currently numbers 25, with plans to double in size over the next 12-18 months.

Ideally you will have HR experience gained within the insurance industry, with preference with that being in the London Market, however they will also consider those in similar roles if you have the experience of implementing HR practices and policies from scratch.

You will get the opportunity to deliver a brand-new benefits package for this businesses employees, looking into and sourcing a number of employee benefits and incorporating these, as well as creating a brand new induction course for new employees.

Other responsibilities will include centralising HR: Consolidate HR processes across departments into a streamlined, efficient function, contracts management overseeing employee contracts, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with company policies, HR Compliance ensuring adherence to employment laws and FCA/Lloyd’s "Good Repute" standards. They are also keen for you to handle talent acquisition & retention, supporting recruitment and retention, including onboarding and career development for staff.

You will also serve as the primary HR contact, handling queries, performance management, and conflict resolution and well as maintaining HR policies, the employee handbook, and generating HR metrics.

As above proven HR experience, ideally in insurance/financial services would be the presence with strong knowledge of UK employment law and regulatory requirements (FCA/Lloyd’s) with CIPD Level 5 and/or CII qualifications preferred.

As above the role will start with being part time 3 days a week but may be able to move into a full time role as they grow and this is something you want.

They can offer flexible working arrangements, with the role being based from their office near Aldgate with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.

Salary is £38-40k, for 3 days a week (£63,500 - £66,652 Full time equivalent)
