A leading organisation based in London are seeking an experienced Interim Payroll Accounting Manager to join the finance team for a duration of 3 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our payroll processes and ensure compliance during a critical period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accurate posting of payroll costs and perform reconciliations of payroll accounts.
  • Verify that all reconciliations are fit for purpose, aligned with the group year-end reporting timetable.
  • Accurately charge and allocate all staff costs to the correct projects and cost centres.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvements in payroll accounting processes and enhance control measures.
  • Liaise with HR, tax, and other stakeholders on payroll-related matters, including collaboration with international tax and accounting advisors.
  • Provide support during the statutory audit, responding to inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests and project work, including finance improvement programmes.
  • Manage large volumes of complex data effectively.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in payroll accounting and financial management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Experience working with large data sets and a focus on process improvement.
  • Familiarity with statutory audit processes and compliance requirements.
