International Head of Human Resources | London | Hybrid | Financial Services | up to 140,000

A leading global insurance company with a strong presence across Europe as recruiting for an International Head of HR to join them a full-time permanent basis.

As the International Head of HR, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the HR strategy and driving people initiatives across their European offices. You'll collaborate closely with senior leadership, ensuring the HR practices align with the business goals and foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business growth, employee engagement, and talent retention.
  • Implement best practices in HR management to enhance organisational effectiveness.
  • Lead change management efforts during M&A activities, ensuring smooth transitions and cultural alignment.
  • Familiarise yourself with TUPE regulations to protect employees' rights during business transfers.
  • Focus on talent retention and development post M&A.
  • Apply change management strategies beyond M&A to minimize disruption and engage employees.
  • Strengthen recruitment efforts across Europe by leveraging employer branding and efficient selection processes.
  • Implement robust onboarding programs and foster continuous learning.
  • Address complex issues promptly, handle performance challenges, and promote a positive work environment.
  • Leverage your experience managing sites across Europe, understanding cultural nuances and legal requirements.
  • Lead and mentor your HR team, encouraging collaboration and setting clear expectations.
  • Regular travel across Europe allows you to engage with local teams and assess HR needs firsthand.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR leader in the financial services industry is essential (preferably insurance)
  • Strong knowledge of European labour laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
