International Student Recruitment Manager

Macildowie is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a prestigious client for the role of International Recruitment Manager. This exciting position is focused on the recruitment of international students from target markets and supporting the development and delivery of strategic marketing and recruitment activities to meet enrolment targets for a leading London-based educational institution.The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of operational plans to achieve recruitment goals, build effective relationships with key stakeholders globally, and support the institution's wider internationalisation objectives.

You will work closely with a team of International Recruitment Officers and in-country staff, ensuring team capability and alignment with institutional objectives, while representing the organisation as part of a wider international management team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering operational plans for overseas recruitment, including identifying new markets and creating innovative marketing and recruitment solutions.
  • Collaborating with marketing and communication teams to produce engaging materials and communication plans for international audiences.
  • Monitoring performance and financial targets, including student recruitment and income generation, and implementing performance improvement plans as required.
  • Managing relationships with key global stakeholders, including recruitment agents, in-country offices, and international partnerships, ens uring compliance with relevant regulations and frameworks.
  • Providing detailed reporting on country-specific recruitment targets, market intelligence, and strategic initiatives related to international student recruitment.
  • Enhancing systems and processes to improve service delivery to international students and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Supporting enrolment and conversion activities, fostering an excellent applicant experience, and working collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues to achieve shared goals.

The role can involve international travel and requires a proactive approach to developing relationships, analysing market trends, and negotiating with partners to maximise recruitment opportunities.

Applicants should possess substantial experience in international student recruitment, a proven ability to meet enrolment and income targets, and exceptional relationship management skills. Strong knowledge of UKVI and immigration compliance requirements is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
