Payroll Manager (12 month FTC) | Professional Services Scale Up | London

The Role:

Supporting an industry leading Finance Director and working within a tight knit, collaborative finance team, this Payroll Manager will have the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and exciting business. The main responsibilities of this role surround providing full administrative & payroll support, managing a high-volume payroll cycle and streamlining payroll process. There will also be ad hoc tasks to support with HR Administration and systems implementation as they continue to make their function more efficient.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring adherence to tax regulations, employment laws, PAYE and national insurance,
  • Coordinating with clients to gather timesheets for temporary or contract staff.
  • Ensuring accuracy in the reporting of hours worked and handling discrepancies.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate payments to all employees, including temporary and contract workers.
  • Managing disbursement of expenses, holiday pay, and statutory sick pay (SSP) or equivalent.
  • Maintaining and optimizing payroll software or systems used to process payments and store employee data.
  • Troubleshooting system issues and liaising with software providers if necessary.
  • Producing payroll reports for internal management, accounting, and compliance purposes.
  • Assisting with audits and maintaining accurate payroll records for external reviews.
  • Acting as a point of contact for queries from temporary staff, clients, and internal employees regarding payroll issues.
  • Resolving payroll disputes or discrepancies efficiently.
  • Maintaining HMRC's tool for PAYE payments

What we need to see (essential):

  • International payroll experience
  • Experience using sage

What we need to see (bonus):

  • Experience in commission based industry
