Role Purpose: Our client, a prestigious college, is seeking a dynamic and strategic People Partner. In this role, you will provide comprehensive HR support across the organisation, aligning with their strategic objectives and values. You will play a crucial role in fostering a high-performance culture that emphasises empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards through effective HR strategies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Provide expert advice on employment law and best practices, support complex staffing matters, and ensure compliance with HRUC policies and UK employment law.
  • Workforce Planning: Develop and implement strategic workforce plans, analyse workforce data, and collaborate with Heads of School to meet current and future staffing needs.
  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Work with the Head of Talent Acquisition to develop proactive recruitment campaigns, ensure a smooth recruitment process, and participate in selection processes for senior roles.
  • Training and Development: Facilitate training sessions on People policies, leadership, and management development, and support the professional development of the People team.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Play a key role in change management processes, maintain the HR Information System, and produce management information/statistics relevant to employee performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with Heads of School and other key stakeholders, act as a trusted advisor on People matters, and manage staff relationships.
  • Compliance and Legal: Ensure payroll changes are completed correctly, support colleagues within the People function, and manage project work as determined by the People Operations Manager.
  • Other Duties: Participate in college events and carry out any other duties as required by your line manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar HR role
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyse workforce data and develop strategic plans
  • Experience in recruitment, training, and development
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
