This rapidly expanding business with a fast-growing ER function are looking for a Senior ER Manager to join their team. You will be instrumental in ensuring that the team appropriately mitigate ER related risks using a commercial and supportive mindset whilst maintaining the credibility and reputation of the ER team in all that you do.

This is a critical role which will offer a unique opportunity to genuinely add value and change to this evolving business and you will manage a team of ER specialists at varying levels (as well as a number of direct ER Manager reports). This position will offer a high level of autonomy in a relationship driven role with a great degree of visibility. You will also ensure that all ER advice and guidance provided by the ER team is timely and pragmatic, with demonstrated experience in proactive process improvement.

Other responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Provide commercial support and advice at all levels and take a pro-active, consultative and pragmatic approach to managing quality and risk in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Responsibility for the day-to-day team management, development and coaching of the ER team.
  • Develop content and deliver training to ER/HR and business stakeholders on all ER matters as required.
  • Coach and develop the ER team, acting as an ambassador for the team and the firm to implement continuous improvement and ways of working.
  • Assess and analyse employee relations trends to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to the HR team and wider business.
  • Play a key role in ongoing up-skilling and education of generalist and other HR teams in legislative and best practice developments and requirements.

Experience Required

  • Experienced Manager with proven experience of effectively managing a small team.
  • Experience of working in an employee relations focused role, including extensive knowledge of employment law and proficient in application of business aligned solutions.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience as a commercial, credible and assertive subject matter expert.
  • Proven experience of introducing continuous process improvement and new ways of working.
