A newly created permanent position. We're looking for a confident and capable ER professional to join a growing HR team within a tier 1 construction business. This role will focus on delivering high-quality, pragmatic ER advice across all areas - from disciplinaries and grievances to absence management, GDPR, and redundancy.

You'll be working alongside HR Business Partners and senior managers across the business, supporting complex ER cases, ensuring legal compliance, and helping to drive a consistent, fair, and commercially-minded approach to people matters.

This role also includes responsibility for company-wide processes such as ER tracking and helping train up the wider HR team and line managers. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on ER work and wants to help lift capability across the board. The role will report directly into the HR Director.

What you'll need:

  • Solid experience managing complex ER casework
  • Deep knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
  • Confidence dealing with senior operational stakeholders (e.g. Project Directors)
  • Experience in construction or similar sectors (engineering, logistics, manufacturing)
  • Flexibility to travel when needed (UK)
  • Strong influencing, coaching, and communication skills
  • CIPD (qualified or working towards) preferred but not essential
